a designer with a love for Photography

Jeroen Pruijt is a creative based in Amsterdam, whose work revolves around the intersection of art direction, brand strategy, and graphic design. During his time at art academy, he discovered a passion for photography and began to explore the medium through a small 35mm film camera. This all started after he found himself sifting through thousands of digital photos he took during a holiday of just a week-long, and realized that there must be another, simpler way.

He is particularly drawn to the concept of constraint, which he applies to both his design work and his photography. Working with a fully manual camera and a roll of film that only offers 36 exposures challenges him to be focused, intuitive, and spontaneous in his approach. Interestingly, by now Jeroen has lost the digital files of all those holiday photos, while his rolls of film are neatly organized and stored in his archive –well most of them at least.
